The Password Manager allows you store securely all the different User IDs and Passwords you use on the internet or on mobile apps to log into your accounts.
Each time you register for a service online or for an app on your mobile device, you are asked to create a set of login credentials (usually a username or e-mail address and a password). The average user creates and accumulates a lot of these sensitive data overtime.
It has become impossible to create and remember all this information and most users re-use old, weak passwords or write them down in order to not forget them or be overwhelmed. This is a big risk for when (not if) passwords are lost or stolen.
The Password Manager helps you create unique strong passwords, encrypts them, stores them securely and lets you retrieve them easily when you need them (it can fill login pages for you).
In order to achieve this, you will need to create a Master Key that will act as a gate opener to your sensitive login User IDs and Passwords (it will generate a personal encryption key). This is the only password that you will need to remember and safeguard on your own. For security reasons, it should not be the same as your Digital ID account password since it would void the security architecture we put in place to keep your data safe.
